  1. I sent off my letter only two weeks ago and reieved a reply today offering a refund of the £67 i was charged last year. Im so happy! I think they might have been especially co-perative seen as im a poor student and i was in fact overdrawn by 2p. Thank you consmer action group!
  2. Hmm its funny i actually worked in the post room and in the claims center at trinity road as a summer job until a few weeks ago and i must say there are a lot of incompetent, lazy, underpaid contract workers there. At the moment im trying to get back £67 in charges but im not hopefull that my complaint will be processed quicly, yet alone reach its destination.
  3. No i was still 18 but i had no job at the time and my parents had to coff up £67 for me and i felt terrible. I can't wait to get it back and give them there money back! Ive been reading everything very carefully though i know it can take a long time.
  4. go into the bank and discuss it with them and try to stop further charges while you sort your finances out.
  5. Hi all im an 18 year old student. Last year i was charged £38 for being overdrawn by 12p on the 23rd March. I didnt realise that i was overdrawn as halifax paper free banking is very conveniently extended to bank charges. I was then charged a further £28 as part of their monthly overdraft charge. I had only been overdrawn 7 days but this is charged regardless at the end of every month. On the phone i asked why it costed so much and if the Halifax explained that it was "policy". I then asked iwether Halifax policy was to take large amounts of money from a school student with no income. Surprisingly i recieved no refund. So now im going to take some action and get m money back. Good luck to everyone else here.
