  1. Right, spreadsheet done, first letter asking for re-payment typed up, everything in envelope - TO THE POST OFFICE TOMORROW!!
  2. Oh good - that's what I have done!! Thank you. Just waiting for the missing statements for 2004 and I will begin the battle proper.
  3. Hurrah!! The majority of my statements has arrived today and I have been busily inputting them into the CAG spreadsheets. £2,800 in six years!!!!! (that's without intrest) No wonder I never have any money. However......... on the statements in just says "Charges as notified" - how do I know what the charges were for? Is this information integral to the claim.....I have a feeling it is. Any advice? Please....
  4. By 'eck, the Halifax are little tinkers..... I sent my first letter and £10 cheque on 3rd October by recorded delivery. I have heard or received NOTHING, so today I have sent them another letter, and a copy of my first letter, plus the Royal Mail print out which shows my letter was signed for on 5th October. Meanwhile, I was charged £90 in one day earlier this month, 3 days before payday, which incurred MORE charges because it pushed me over my overdraft limit. I am not a happy bunny. Any hints or tips for me....how long should I leave it before I begin a barrage of letters and phone calls demanding my statements? I can see this is not going to be easy but I am SICK of the Halifax charging me ridiculous amounts like this. (and to add insult to injury, my boyfriend works in Halifax town centre and when I go to pick him up I have to pass the main building...I can't resist flicking them the V's on my way past!!)
  5. Hi everybody!! This site has been recommended by my friend at work, who has sucessfully claimed about £1000 back from HSBC. It is a well known fact around my place of work that I have terrible trouble with the Halifax bank and have spent many hours in tears over their charges (which doesn't look good as I am a Policewoman and nobody likes to see a Policewoman cry!!) - they once charged me £500 in a month , after they failed to spot an error with a chip & pin machine that charged me £450 twice within 10 seconds when I bought a new washing machine - so much for their dilligent fraud section...I had to point it out to them!! But anyway, enough of my moaning, I am here to get back some of the frankly horrendous amounts of money they have charged me in the past and I hope I can rely on you for some friendly help and advice along the way! Cheers sickofbeingskint
