Hi I have a friend that works for DWP and was told that they have to chase the debt but if you just keep refusing to pay they will eventually just give up, he says sometimes in his mind he just wants to shout dont pay but he is monitored so cannot give any indication to the caller. Hope this helps.....

Hi this is my first post, have been watching and reading a lot on this site, sent all the letters to Natwest for just under 5K they offered us 600 quid and then upped it to 2600 but we said NOOOOOO. Finally took the plunge and filled in the forms for the court, it is very complicated because they send more forms to fill in anyway finally did that at the end of February, finally got note from Natwest solicitors who wanted all the paperwork AGAIN (Natwest are rubbish). Now we have notification of the court deciding on a date but have to get all the paperwork again to the court, we alone are killing the trees. So hopefully but the end of June we should have a settlement or a court date. I can see why people dont want to go down this route because it is a pain to do all this but it will be worth it to get our 5k back. Has anyone got any tips for the court, or to get it rushed through quicker..........
