When I sent a letter off the debt collectors phoned me up and I told them that I was disputing the amount, do I still need to write to them? And yes they have put a defult on my credit file, which I will also claim for! Thanks for the replies Reguards

Hi I have decided to reclaim charges from my old more than credit card, I had a card and got into trouble with it reguarding repayments, the account got took over with various debt collection agencys, Last year I paid a considerable sum to a debt collection agency and they are still hounding me for the rest of the balance, but it keeps going up as they keep adding their charges, now I feel that what I have paid is more than enough for what I owe, now I have sent Lloyds TSB a data protection act so I can see what charges I have incured so that I dont have to pay any more charges. does anyone think I have a case? Hi I'm a newbie as awork mate put me onto this site, and an excellent one it is! My first claim is with the woolwich, I sent out a a data protection act letter on the 29/09/06 and I received a list of all my charges. Sent a LBA today for £2700 so expect a sorry your unhappy letter soon! I will keep you all posted
