  1. Not sure where I need to post this thread but HSBC made a 90% offer to me today plus the costs of the moneyclaim, which I have accepted. Know I should keep battling on but I need the cash and am incredibly happy with my £1810, which should be with me within the week. Thanks for everyones help - this is a great website and I shall make a donation and keep spreading the word! Hels Bells:) :)
  2. Hi everyone - not sure how to update my last thread but very nervous as just completed my money claim on-line..... I have had all letters ignored so far so hopefully they will take some notice now. The full value of the claim with interest and now £120 court charges is £2300 so I fully expect them to enter a defence. Did anyone else have a claim of this size which they just paid up on? Hels
  3. Hi Steve I've been doing exactly the same to the same address with HSBC and have recieved no reply whatsover, so will be keeping a keen eye on what happens with you. I was wondering about making a call, but think that will merely give them an excuse to delay. Good luck and I'll be keeping an eye open for updates! Hels
  4. Hi Steve Any response to your preliminary letter yet? Mine was on the 9th but didn't send it recorded.. Hels Bells
  5. Hi Tobes Go for it! I have just started my claim against HSBC and am waiting for a response to my preliminary letter - not that I expect one! Glad you got yours settled Hels Bells
  6. Hi everyone What a fantastic site! Getting a bit nervous now, submitted my preliminary letter and claim against HSBC on the 9th October 2006 for £1881.50. Will send the next letter on the 24th October if I have not had a response from them - is it usual for them to ignore you? I am a little concerned as I haven't opened another bank account and have a loan with HSBC - I understand the loan is different and they can't force me to pay it back, but I don't want my credit record to be even more messed up because of them than it is now (although not too bad as I have no other debt to anyone but HSBC and pay everything on time but just go overdrawn, sometimes even just for a day but still get a huge charge and no sign of a letter!) Anyway, thought I would post the thread to let everyone know how I get on and also for any reassurances from everyone else...... will update on any progress. Hels
