Hey, everyone. I've been using an a/c with the Royal bank of scotland for the past 4 years. while I was with the Bank of Scotland(now HBOS) I was charged every month, almost - yeah, the 'snowball' effect. I recently discovered that the a/c wasn't shut down. I requested an equifax report, and was shocked to find that I owed them £920. (Later turned out they hadn't updated my file!!) I dont know how i'll get on, but I'm going to try and recover charges from them. I just found out about this today, and I'm relishing the thought of causing them as much misery as they caused me (as well as being re-united with my cash!) Has anyone dealt with the Royal? I've had some charges, but I don't like the thought of them demanding my overdraft being cleared, or worse closing my account!! Any advice and tips would be welcome...
