I have just had all of my charges repiad into my bank account. This followed a letter from RBS saying that they weren't going to pay me anything and then a letter offering me just over 60% of what they owed - Thank you very much to everyone whjo has helped and given advice - I have made my donation to the site in appreciation!!!! Catherine

Hi, I have been looking round the website and I have sent my initial letter to the RBS and they wrote back and said that they couldn't possibly return any of my charges. I then did a letter of claim and they offered me just over 60% of the charges that they had taken from me. I am just about to send them a letter rejecting their offer. Wish me luck!!!

This site has been really helpful. I didn't know whether I was likely to get anything back at all. I have received a response from the Royal Bank of Scotland to my Letter before Action and they have made me an offer of just over 60% of the charges that I am trying to recover from them. Do you think it is worth trying to haggle with them, should I accept their offer or should I issue? Thank you, Catherine
