    Advice?

Ive just had success with Cahoot (They have offered me 580.00 out of court settlement) so im now going to go after MBNA and Capital One... Can anyone confirm if it is the same process and the same letter that I need to send (with obvious changes) Thanks
  3. Cahoot have offered me a 580.00 out of court settlement! im very happy with this. Thanks to bankaction group for making this possible How long i wonder will it take for them to cough up?
  4. Court proceedings started. slightly unsure whats gonna happen and a little nervous
  5. apologies as im sure this is on the site somewhere but just cant seem to find it. Is there a step by step guide of how to fill out the court claim on moneyclaim? MODERATED post moved .. please can you ask any questions using your original thread
  6. I am pleased that this site has enlightened me as to what our rights are with regards to bank charges, and have sent the letter from your library section threatening court action,in a hope to scare my bank into coughing up However i would like to add that I have no intention of seeing this right the way through to a court case, and am sure im not the only one. I dont have the "balls" (for want of a better word) or knowledge of my subject, or in fact the time, to be taking banks to court, for fear of being shot down. Could someone please tell me, once I have sent a "moneyclaim" form, can i still back out at this stage as i really dont wanna see myself in court, or having to pay charges for wasting time etc
  7. Ive now sent my initial letter to Abbey National Cahoot, im slightly wary as to what their response will be, as they have always been quite sharp with me in the past, stating its my responsibility to maintain my account and that they have every right to charge me £30 for going £0.73 over my limit, due to interest they have added! Has to be close to £1000 they have charged me over the years, but im not forking out £5 PER MONTH for a paper statement, so ive guesstimated the amount. Fingers crossed
