  2. heeeeeeeelp !!! Hope i can explain this one clearly so here goes Sent off first letter requesting refund of charges 5th February. Received letter today from Carol Jones Customer Relationship Manager advising that their charges are fair and transparent and that they make them clear in their Terms and conditions. We had an outstanding balance of £2700 and were offered a settlement figure of £1800. which we paid off December 06. They have informed us today quote "we accepted payment of £1800 in full and final settlement from a balance outstanding and therefore do not feel it is appropriate to consider your request for a refund of charges". Heeelp where do we go from here?:-| Do we send the SAR letter now or accept that we cannot pursue our claim.

  7. hi CAG this is our first thread on this superb site we raised a claim with rbs for bank charges refund in dec 2006 totalling £5700 plus £ 1100 in interest .last week we received an offer of a good will gesture of £5500 after submitting a lba. However we are now pursuing them for a better offer via a solicitor. Is this wise or should we take the money and run:confused:
