  1. we've just received our response from the bank after sending the first request letter. Whish was basically a don't be a silly person of course we're allowed to charge you letter. I'm preparing and sending letter before action today, so we'll have to wait and see what they make of that. They're just playing dumb, and they obviously think we are too. oops their mistake:roll:
  2. With the new knowledge that i have about sharges I am slowly working my way through all the companies. But Black Horse have been taking the money in the form of interest . the origianl Flexiplan was for £1224.00 we have paid approximateley (Black Horse won't send me a full set of statements or tell me exactly how much I have paid) £2000. and the outstanding amount is still over £1000 I queried this when we were really struggling and had cancelled all our DD's to stop the charges (this was before the knowledge). They sent out a small section of statements and have now defaulted us and started court proceeding's. There must be a way to fight this ... please help. Thank you in advance if you can from Mitch
  3. Thankyou for that link ... it has given me all the information I need I think to carry on..... just having a small panic, but then i come and read how it's all worth it ... many thanks
  4. have just sent Lloyds tsb the first request letter with a total of £8745.00 this is for 4 years ... but they will almost certainly call my bluff with this high amount... I know the court procedure is different with such a high amount ... can anyone advise me please of what the procedure is many thanks every one in advance
  5. I'm getting nervous ... I have read loads of the threads and comments. We have received our response from the bank with list of charges and are about to send 1st letter. But we have had no contact from the bank apart from 1 phone call to clarify information for us and she was lovely. We've calculated using the library spreadsheet and have reclaim of just short of £10'000.00. We haven't added any interest that has been charged but have added the suggested 8%. But it's all going so smoothly I'm getting nervous now ... will they be quite so coll when they get a demand for 10'000 i wonder. It's a different court procedure too .. any help would be gratefully received ... am sending the first request letter in a couple of days
  6. Hi Munh .. I agree finding this site has given us a chance to claim back years of charges that we just accepted .. now we know different we're challenging everything and everyone ... I also agree with read read read .. I can' tell you how supportive and helpful this site and these people have been ... we're going after over £9000.00 and we're terrified but very determined ... GO FOR IT cox in the end you've got nothing to lose have you?
  7. I just want to make sure that I have my facts right, I have just received back from the lloyds tsb my summary of charges. But there are no charges listed on the sheets. All the reasons for the charges are there but no summary of charges. I've just re read the request and it requests a summary of all charges. it is accompanied by a letter stating that they have met the requirements of the act by not including a list of the charges. I need to compose a suitable letter, but just want to check that they should have listed each individual charge as it was placed on the statement
  8. Well I have started the process now with Lloyds Tsb, I've sent in the first letter recorded delivery with a 10 pound postal order I guess it's just a case of waiting but we've heard nothing at all and it's been nearly 10 days now. I just feel like I've been given back some power of control in my life ... what a learning curve
  9. I'm a new member ... in fact I was given the web site from someone who had made a successful claim ... they work with firm who are helping us remortgage our home because we have got into so much trouble because of the escalating bank charges all sorts have fallen into arrears. I'm still reading all the information but will have the first data protection letter off within the next couple of days. We are going after more than £10'00 an average of £450 for the last three years.
  10. Hi I have also just joined and am going to try to claim back in excess of £12'000 back from Lloyds Tsb .. am looking forward to being able to bite back .. I am also going to go after the credit cards ... am still reading all the information .. but am hopeful
