No it doesn't, I forgot to add the interest onto the amount they owed me in the letters in sent. I guess that means I wouldn't be in a position to claim it now?

Just got a grovelling letter from Abbey, offering me £515.00 as a 'goodwill gesture'. We all know what that means! It's only £75 shy of the amount they owe me, so I am tempted to accept it providing they amend my credit record. What does everyone else think?

Thank you very much for all the invaluable advice guys, it is much appreciated. I have sent the letter as you suggested and I now feel a lot more confident in my campaign against them. It is absolutely disgusting how they treat their customers and I look forward to the satisfaction of taking back my money from them in court.

I am in the process of trying to get 600 pounds worth of charges back from Abbey. I am currently unauthorised overdrawn by 107.72 after two 5 pound direct debits cleared whilst there was no money in the account. The rest is all charges that are increasing daily. I cannot afford to pay this as it has built up to such a degree and still continues to. I am just about to send out the 'final notice before action' letter to Abbey. However I am hesitant to send it because they have just contacted me insisting that I send back all my Abbey bank cards and repay the amount in full, my concern is that they state that all this information is being sent on to a credit reference agency. The last thing I want is to be blacklisted for credit in the future. What should I do? Shall I just find a way to pay back the amount in full then resume my case with them at a later date? Please help as this is causing me endless amounts of stress.
