sent off my lba to halifax asking for 250 back as they have ignored my first letter asking for it back. 6 days later got a letter saying they had refunded the thirty pounds back i originally contested. i complained about this 30 pounds charge a while ago asking the to justify it and they sent me out a standard letter saying they were not gonna pay it back as manual interevention was required. i was really annoyed! found out about this action group through money saving expert so decided to claim all my charges back using the templates provided. They refunded me the charge today and i think they are hoping i go away (they did not mention the rest of the charges i want back!) please some help with the sort of thing to write back to them as if they have refunded this they must know i am entitled to the rest of the money - great sense of satisfaction!!!

hi, i sent off dpa request to the halifax, they wrote back to me requesting a five pounds fee, i sent them this and they were pretty quick at sending the statements back, but with no evidence of manual intervention. i sent off a letter asking for my charges back, but they ignored this ( sent recorded delivery), so i have just sent my lba off also recorded delivery two days ago, and for some suspicious reason i now cannot get my account information through my internet banking!!! Hi just sent letter before action to the halifax as they have completely ignored my request for my bank charges back totalling 250 pounds! Looks like there not gonna budge. Could anyone give me some advice on taking lagal actions and letters to OFT. I would really appreciate this as its always good to hear others experiences. By the way i sent the letter asking for charges back recorded post so theres no chance they never got it. also i have been sending all letters to their customer service branch in Leeds and not to my local branch as they passed my onto them. Just paid out 38.00 in bank charges this month for going 14.00 overdrawn, am getting sick of being stung by natwest. sent dpa letter off a few days ago will be interested to find out how much i have been charged over the past six years. will keep you posted.

Just got back my statements from my dpa request fron the halifax, they owe me 250 quid but i can see this is not that much compared to some of you. They didnt include any evidence of manual intervention, which was there excuse for the charges in the previous letter they sent me after i had complained about there rising charges! Just gonna send a letter before action, see what happens next but theres been no hint of a payout yet! keep you posted.
