    Abbey

I have sent the data protection letter along with the Ten pounds, they responded saying that the 40 day rule applies to current statements and not the ones on microfish. They will supply the current ones free of charge and use the Ten pounds to supply the ones on microfish but can take longer than 40 days. They also said that they do not keep records of manual intervention on accounts as most is automated. Also I am not using the account I have sent back my card and cheque book. I have an overdraft of 1700.00 which they have forced me to exceed due to their charges. They are charging me interest at the unauthorised rate. Do I settle up and then persue them or leave it in arrears and persue?
  2. Abbey have forced me into their charging zone, I put £300 into the account to cover a abbey loan payment and abbey bank took out their fee's for being overdrawn and such, then abbey loan tried to take out their payment which was refused due to abbey bank taking their fees. As a result I am now 4 months behind in the loan payments and over my authorisied overdraft by about £200 which abbey bank is charging me interset at the unauthorised overdraft rate. I have sent back my card and cheque book and want to pay what I owe but not with all the unreasonable charges.
  3. This bank has taken over £500 in charges from my account in the past 2 Months, often they take their charges only to overdraw the account again, hence more charges for being over drawn.
