  1. Hi All thank you for the advice so far they have now sent me a letter with a copy of my account which says i made two pamyents of £50 one in 2008 and one in 2009 oct i know i haven't made any such payment where do i stand now - they are once again threatening baliffs and getting the full amount in one go. any further advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks
  2. Can anyone give me some guidance I'm a newbie so i'm sorry if i have started this in the wrong place I have received a calll from Link Financial - they have been calling me to tell me that i have deferred on a student loan taken out in 1997 I have moved several times since the loan was taken out ... and have received no letters regarding my loan payment or deferement ... completely my fault it was one of the things that was missed when i moved address Link Financial have now contacted my elderly parents requesting my address details ... i contacted them by phone after they bombarded my parents. On the call they told me that i have 21 days to pay the debt approx £1500 or i will be taken to court and bailiffs will attend my property and seize goods to the value of the loan . i explained that i would be unable to make this payment but could arrange a repayment scheme - they told me that this was unacceptable that i should look to borrowing the money from a bank or family member.Under the student loan i agreed that if i defered then i would need to repay this in fulll. When i told them this was impossible they told me tough a letter was being sent in the post. I have been reading the threads and to be honest i am confused and concerned that links will send bailiffs to my property Are they allowed to do this if i offer to pay ? I have had no contact with the student loan company for at least 7 years when i defered the payment. I have received no letters from Link Financial I dont have the funds to pay this in one lump sum but would be happy to pay it over a period time Can anyone help ? Many thanks
