Hi I am a newbie and am really interested in claiming back charges etc from BOS ( Scared to add them all up!):o But I wonder if someone can help me, I have 3 BOS accounts all with the same branch 1- active 2 inactive but i pay ongoing interest as they are overdraft accounts.... In the letter requesting my 5 year statements, do I send 1 letter per account or should i put my sort code number and 3 account numbers with £30 payment to cover the 3 requests? Each account is more than £750 owed ( i think):? I thought i might be better concentrating on one account at a time? Finally - i have decided to open up a new account ( as recommended) and wonder if anyone has any opinions as to which banks they would recommend? and is it ok to start the ball rolling before i open other accounts? Sorry if i sound a bit dim - but all new and seems surreal at the amount of money being won back;) thanks

I am a newbie and am going to start the process soon re the bank of scotland now the halifax, what i wanted to know is that i have 3 accounts with them do I send a seperate letter requesting 5 years statement for each account or can i ask for them all within the one letter / £10 payment?

I don't have a mailer address to use in England, - all my friends and family are Scottish does that mean I will have to follow the Scottish claims procedure??

Another thread has said because BOS has been taken over by halifax we should claim via their registered office in England?

Just to say that I read on another thread that because the bank of scotland has been taken over by halifax we can claim through Halifax registered office in England - changing it from £750 to £5000 - wot do you think?

Hi everyone, hope your all well.... have decided to have a go and try and claim back my charges - very daunting!!!! wish me luck! I am with the bank of scotland / halifax and am a bit worried about finding out how much charges i have recieved in the past 6 years, would love to hear from anyone else who has claimed and been successful!
