Hi was wondering if anyone could shed some light? Sent away prelimary approach for repayment to BofS a week past Friday and they got back to me saying they would get in contact within 4 weeks. However i didn't send off the SAR in the first place. Is this vital for threatening of court action or can I sent the next letter anyway? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm hoping I'm going down the right route?

So any ideas as to what I should do? is the claim not likely to go through if I don't send off s.a.r? -
I sent away a prelimary approach for repayment letter that BofS received last Friday for charges totalling £676 and £63 interest. However, I had copies of all my statements so did not send away the subject access letter to get the information. Can I still claim in the courts?

Hi all! I sent away a prelimary approach for repayment letter that they received last Friday for charges totalling £676 and £63 interest (I had already been charged). I received a letter today telling me a manager will be in contact with me in no later than 4 weeks. Do I stick to my original deadline and send them the letter befor action next week at the end of the 14 days? Also, I have a positive bank balance at the minute and so am not being charged interest on the charges. Am I still entitled to claim the 8% or will that show the bank I don't know what I'm doing? If I am, at which point would I claim for that? I would appreciate any feedback. Cheers

I wrote to A&L on 23rd August asking for subject access. Still no reply so starting to get a little peeved! Has anyone else waited this long for their information?

I phoned up to let the bank know I would contest my charges on 22/8. A&L are still charging me. I was under the impression they wouldn't. Am I wrong or are they wrong?

Hi I'm new to this today as I received a letter from A&L this morning claiming I owe them £500 in charges. The first time I knew I had any charges was last month when I was charged £25 for being overdrawn by £5 for over a year (I haven't used the account in ages!) i asked to close my account yet they wont allow it till I pay them back this money. At the samt time £50 will be taken off each month. I'm sending them the subject access request form. Does anyone know the data protection officer's address to whom I send this? :?
