  1. Hey guys! Thought I'd say hi and give an update on my attempts so far to claim from Abbey... Initial Letter Requesting Payment: 1st September, 2006 Abbey reply - Standard "sorry" letter with Complaints leaflet 2nd Letter (LBA): 15th September, 2006 Abbey reply - "...Having carried out out a full investigation....assure you charges do not contravene those regulations (Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999)..and ...cannot refund them...." The letter also contains info for contacting them and talking to the Financial Ombudsman Service re: the decision. I will be sticking to the timetable and not making any phone calls to Abbey. Will keep you uptodate on my prgress!!

Or do I call them for discussion? Any advice would be much appreciated. S
