Have found the answers to some of my queries.. such as the moneyclaim etc.. Has anyone actually had their account closed by RBS for reclaiming their bank charges? TIA

Hi all.. I've been thinking of reclaiming my charges from the RBS for a while, but was put off by the hassle I had over cancelling various PPI's.. anyway, time to get my head around the bank charges now... I've already claimed back my statements from the last 6yrs using the template from here.. I calculate that I have been charged the grand total of £1,300.. Haven't included agreed charges for overdraft etc, nor any interest.. I have printed off template letters for the next stage to have a read thru and have done a spreadsheet stating the dates, details etc.. I am slightly worried and would like to ask a couple of questions.. Will my bank account be closed.. or will they threaten closure?.. Have the RBS been known to close accounts of those claiming charges? My credit history is extremely naff at the moment and I'm worried that I'll be refused a new account with another bank.. I have a hefty overdraft ATM and a RBS credit card, will these affect my claim? there's so much to read on here, so apologies if the answers to these questions are already posted somewhere.. I did look ps.. I've seen 'moneyclaim' mentioned a few times, but cant find what exactly this is... thanks in advance for any advice or pointers..

Hi all.. Hope this is in the right forum, have searched 'PPI' but cant see any results..! **(think I may have, but cant see how to move it - sorry) I've recently wrote to cancel the PPI on 2 loans I have.. (used the template letter - a great help!) Have had replies from both.. one has just cancelled (no mention of refunds etc) The other points out the terms of taking out the PPI, and invite me to contact them to discuss extending/re-arranging the loan.. Not very good at writing letters of complaint, any suggestions on how to word or what the gist of my next letter should be? Thanks
