How can that be? I asked for the same amount back and they told me the charges were fair. I then told them that i wasn't happy and that i will take them to court:-( what shall i do now? Suppose im gonna have to take them to court.

Hi guys,,this is my first thread. I would just like to say i am more than happy that this website has come to light and all us people in debt because of bank charges can reclaim our hard earning money back! I sent a letter to Lloyds bank on 9th August, request all my statements and i sent a £10 fee to cover the charges,,but yet i have not heard from them and no money has been debited from my account. Note: i did not send this letter recorded which i should of done and i sent to the address on top of my statement :- Customer service Centre, Dept. 66-05,Box 5 BX1 1LT. I rang lloyds customer service line last week and spoke to a women who delt with that department and she said it would cost me £25 a statement!!! HOW RIDICULOUS!!! I then rang about an hour later and spoke to a Customer Service Advisor and they said it would cost me £6 a statement but i would be best if i wrote a letter and they may reduce the charges. WHAT A LOAD OF NONESENSE!! Has anyone paid that ampunt for 6 years statements?? That ludacruiss! Well now im just angry and just want to know who do i talk to to just get my statements????,,,and im not paying more than £10 for it! It has been nearly a month now and i have NOTHING. Not looking good for me so far HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there, Im a newbie to all this and i am determined to get my bank charges and interest back,,expecially from HFC. I used to work for them in the Customer Service department and dealt with all the credit card and people complaining about all the charges applied on their account,,,,now it MY TURN! I have a retail loan with HFC through Dixons, which i really regret now, as i started the loan last Feburary for 900.00 and now the balance stands around 800.00,,,,???? How,,,when i've been paying £31 a month since March 2005? Yes,,its all the interest and charges! I've already got my DPA-Suject Access Request ready, i just need the address. Who do i send the letter to? Shall i just send it to the call centre i used to work for in Birmingham or is there a formal address to send this corresponse to? Also,,i have a HSBC bank and credit card.Who do i send my request to there? The same as HFC? Thank you all for this website and all the posts,,,,im very greatful! Tracy
