  1. Hi Quick update, Natwest Defending, Have had my corbitts letter Beginning of this week, & used the standard reply regarding cpr part 18, full break down of my charges claimed Sent back to cobbets only (Should I have sent the court a copy Or is it not important ?) Have received notice of transfer of proceedings & Court Allocation questionnaire, All filled out & ready to go to my local court with the extra £100 as over £1500 claim. Deadline they need it back by is the 9TH of October, Would it speed things up IE: settlement if I was to enter it Early or would it pay to hold off incase cobbetts reply with an offer ? I read somewere that Cobbets have to fill out a Allocation questionaire as well so probably will be a while yet before Any offers are on the table. Any advice should I Put in now Or Hold off.
  2. forgot to mention I sent dental appointment card backing up my claim when i sent my appeal.
  3. Also Notice Most Get 14 Days To Pay The £30 I Had 7 Working Days.... Is There Some National Guideline On Deadlines Or Are They Allowed To Make There Own Deadlines.
  4. Hi had a overstay in a 1 hour car park whilst at the dentist, realised i was over my hour but was in the middle of dental work so couldnt really do alot about it. normally visits last about half an hour. anyway was parked in a 1 hour South somerset district council carpark. received a fixed penalty UNDER SECTION 35 of the road traffic regulations act 1984. Ticket reads something like this,,, At 10.29 am on 31st august 2006 Parking attendent 012 Noticed that a penalty had been incurred as indicated below options are 1 failing to display a ticket 2 overstaying expiry time of ticket (SHOULDNT IT HAVE BEEN THIS) 3 parking outside a marked bay 4 waiting longer than the permitted hours and returning to park in a car sooner then permitted. (THIS IS WAS CHECKED) Then says i have to pay £60.00 The penalty will be reduced to forty pounds if i pay within three months of the notice being issued. Or if i pay within seven working days it will be reduced to £30. I thought I had a reasonable exscuse for overstaying. so decided to appeal I explained The fact I was at the dentists & not just off shopping forgetting the time, They got back to me quickly on the 6Th September saying that they wouldnt overrule the penalty, Saying the current amount due is £40.00. Stricly going by the date of issue & the returned letter thats only 6 working days so the letter was asking for £10 more than was legally? Due. There is only 1 date on the penalty notice is this Legal or not could I fight it, I Know i overstayed & they were only doing there job but I really couldnt move the car, I was gutted when they ignored my appeal. Thought it would be overuled, I really dont want to pay this penalty, can anyone suggest what I should do next. Do they need 2 dates to make it legit ? did they tick the right Box ? They were asking me for £10 more than was required when they replied to my appeal. I WANT TO TAKE THEM ON & READY TO FIGHT THEM ALL THE WAY !!

  8. Originally when I sent off for my subject access request paid £10 postal order, Had to use the Data Protection Act Non-Compliancetemplate in the library for the missing 2nd lot of statements reminding them that the clock was ticking and they only sent 2000 - 2002. It did the trick & I had a letter saying that they had been reordered no mention off any additional fee/s, anyway got my normal monthlyt bank statement today & they have charged me £5 for Historic Stmnt fee 1st August. Should i ring the retail regulatory risk dept Joyce Tudor Edinburgh who reordered or my local branch ? This isnt on at all, it was there cock up not mine another penalty at my expense, anyone have the joyce tudor number ?
  9. OK will say unlawful not illegal. Thanks What happens next ?
  10. The annoying thing is They want postcode , Door Number, & surname, if you give them a mickey mouse name, They correct you on what there database says it should be. Any one read there privacy terms & conditions ? as to why its essential otherwise you cant buy from them.
  11. How embarising descriminating spelt wrong in title : Must use that spell checker. Seriously is this postcode thing a infringement of my civil liberties ? sorry for any spelling errors. been a long day.
  12. Excellent, Short & sweet cover note address claim ref: something like submiting list of ilegal charges that have been debited. Thanks Karnevil, now the Balls Rolling.
  13. Ok have submitted mcol correctly, Thanks all so far that have helped & RESPONDED to my post`s, Now i have a claims number, I beleive I need to send my spread sheet with the 8% as of todays date, I have been told 2 copies someone else said 3 copies. should be sent, can anyone verify the amount of copies that need to be sent ? Should I send a cover letter or just write the claim number on the top of each sheet ? if so any templates or advice on how I should word cover letter ? could I also confirm it goes to the court address on my claim that I can now view in a pdf format ? Thanks Lefty
  14. Hi Sorry if its the wrong Forum, But thought I would tell you a story about My Visit To Screwfix Direct Today in YEOVIL who I believe are now owned By the B&Q Group. They have various trade outlets throughout the uk. Aintree-Birmingham -Bristol - Chester -Colchester -Crawley - Derby - Doncaster - Enfield -Gateshead - Gloucester - Harlow - Hull -Kettering - London - Luton - Shrewsbury - Reading -Stockport - Swindon - Yeovil Any way went in this morning & just wanted to order my bits & go I was sort of in a Hurry, I always get fed up with the 1st question they ask which is can We take your postcode ? I always assumed it was just a customer database for catalogues etc, must have had loads off them so I am on there database, then they confirm Name & House Number & its always crowded you never know who`s listening do you ? This lad was kind of shouting at me a bit rude (Got my back up) So I said I dont live in England So no I cant give you a postcode. I am in between a move to France So Yes its 117890, Do you send your catalogues to france ? ( THOUGHT TO MYSELF THATS THAT OVER NOW LETS TAKE MY ORDER) (Wrong) He then said Sorry I cant serve you then ! So he then asks a supervisor to come over who verifys that unless I can supply a uk postcode they can`t sell to me, So I said If I was homeless or of No fixed abode. You couldnt sell to me either, he confirms & says Yes I wouldnt be able to sell anything to you sir, I only went in there for a couple of quids worth of Screws,Nails, Not a fitted kitchen or anything Expensive, In the end I walked out & went to a independent. Not Knocking them they are a cheap hardware Outlet. Just really annoying attitude to post codes & what I think are semi personal info That I have to give out aloud everytime i visit the store so that I can make any purchase in this Outlet regardless of cost, So if your not From The Uk & might want to payscrewfix a visit, You will have to lie to them regarding your address & provide a valid uk post code, House Number & a Surname, same goes for people with no fixed abode, P.S I Am English & have lived here all my life. What do you lot Think ? Civil Libertys ? Anyone ?
  15. Thanks Again Michael,,,,
