Does anyone know if you can claim bank charges twice? Last year i successfully claimed £ 460 back from RBOS, and bcause i was £1 short for a direct debit in Feb the charges have started again, £38 for unpaid direct debit, over 2 short months my charges have snowballed to £430 again, im fed up of this, i have very little money to live on and have to budget very tightly, each charge just gets me more and more in debt and overdrawn, cant take much more, please could someone advise? thankyou Julie

A few days ago the Royal Bank of Scotland refunded my £495 bank charges in full !! So pleased, couldnt believe it,i wrote them the first letter and they offered me a third which i refused and told them i would continue to fight for the full amount. Recieved another letter offering the full amount as a "goodwill gesture". Wouldnt have known what to do if it wasnt for this site, many many thanks, ive never fought for anything like this in my life , this site was a godsend! Everyone keep fighting!!!! Julie

Hello Im trying to claim £355 from the royal bank of scotland, today i received a letter saying they would offer me £114 as a gesture of goodwill, i just wondered what do i do now? If i want to accept i have to sign a form and send it back to them, but if i dont want to accept, ehich i dont, i want the full amount, what do i do now? They replied one week after i wrote them the first letter. Any advice would be welcome. Thankyou Julie

I am so glad i found this site!! I sent off my first letter yesterday to the royal bank of scotland who have charged me £355 in 3 weeks for going over my overdraft and then unpaid direct debits, i am so shocked that they could do this. Thay also have not sent me one letter about any of the unpaid direct debits, i only know as i do online banking. I cant believe how this has spiralled, i am on income support as i look after my disabled son, and this week when my money goes in, it will all go on the bank charges, there wont be a penny left, i cant take any more of this!! Anyway, thank god for this site otherwise i wouldnt have done anything about it. Thankyou Julie
