Ok so I got my offer letter today, which is less than half what I claimed back. So, I am continuing, but I haven't filed my MCOL. So I need to do that don't I. The 14 days was up yesterday. What I am starting to worry about is which account HSBC will put my money in. They can't take the money to pay off my managed loan can they?? Thank you all for your help

HSBC have completely ignored my prelim letter & my LBA. Which I understand happens with quite a few people & I know they got them as I sent them recorded. However, why do they not treat each case the same? Does anyone know why they haven't worked out some blanket policy for dealing with the claims??

Yes, I heard they were sending those out from people I know who work for them. Very interesting. Thanks!

With the help of this site I recently set about claiming back my unfair charges (£1179 plus £80.01 interest) all well and good. My LBA is on its way to them. HOWEVER...HSBC are still charging me. Last month I went overdrawn for a day, well actually half an hour as money had gone out on the monday morning & I went and paid in enough to cover it as soon as the bank opened. They charged me £50 for this priviledge, which I got back when I complained. HOWEVER (again) I then went £2.22 OD. NOw I've been charged these "Total Charges" of £25. When I spoke to someone this morning (the Indian equivalent of "Computer Says No") she just said hard luck basically. I've got the number for complaints, so I'll carry on with it, but yet again this charge made me overdrawn, so does this mean next month I'll get charged again?? She couldn't say. Anyway, I know they are in the wrong, just wanted to say Hi and have a whinge really!

Cheers I've learned so much more than I would have known from reading these forums, so going to take a few days to ensure I do it right.

It might be a daft question but I want to make sure I do it right. I have 2 accounts with HSBC, one current and one for bills do i have to send 2 separate letters and if it comes to it submit 2 different court claims? Or do I do them all in one and just put the schedule of charges separate? Also I'm a bit worried about my account being closed? Has anyone who has been successful had this happen with HSBC? Thank you, your information is invaluable
