A couple of weeks ago I wrote the first letter to Halifax asking them to send me my entire accounts history for the last 6 years under the data protection act. They have responded by letter today saying that copies of duplicate statements will follow shortly but they also claim that they are under no statutory obligation to record information relating to manual intervention on my account and so this information will not be given to me. First off is what they are telling me true, that they have no obligation to do this? Secondly, will this effect my claim for repayment of bank charges further down the line? Thanks in advance.
