  2. Hi, I am coming to the end of my battle with Abbey, as with everyone they seem to be dragging their heels at every opportunity!! and have also threatened to close my account! (I have already solved that problem and opened another account) I filed a claim with 'money claim on line' on 17/07/06 for £754 + £110.87 interest plus £80 court fees total 944.87. I got a letter from DLA stating that Abbey would be entering a defence and basically 'did I know what I was doing' I have just received a letter today from DLA on behalf of Abbey National offering me 50% of what I have claimed for as a "good will gesture" - which is £377 + £55.44 interest plus £80 court fees total £512.44. which I am obviously not going to accept!! I want the full amount. I would just like a bit of advice regarding the Allocation questionaire, what information do I need to complete it etc and also will it help if I have evidence from other cases where Abbey have paid at the last hurdle......Just a bit of advice if anyone has the time, thanks

    Abby Vs Abbey

I am at exactly same stage as yourself claiming back money from abbey- oldham. I too had a letter from DLA Piper requesting a copy of how i have come to my total of £850 ish - which i have sent via email, i have had no confirmation of receipt. They have also informed me that they will be entering a defence although i dont know what it will be at this stage!! let me know how you go on
  4. I am also trying to get charges back from Abbey (at the court stage) but in a reply to my initial letter to them they did 'warn' me that if i continued to try and claim they may close my account....
  5. I sent off my letter to Abbey requesting the return of all my charges. Today I received a letter from Abbey stating that I had agreed to their terms and conditions, and therefore they will not refund any charges or interest. They also included a booklet on how to complain to Abbey if I wasn't happy. What is my next route, Is there a more direct letter I can send to them? Emma
