  1. Hi Bill,

You really do not need to know what the charges were for, just collate the info from your statements ie;date of paid charge & amount. I have done this & have been offered half of what i am claiming,i am now at the stage where i have just sent a final request before action letter.....so excited, they have 14 days to pay me or i begin court claim........happy xmas to me...i pray!!;)

Follow the process shown on this site & use the letter templates oh & dont forget the spreadsheet that calculates the interest they owe you ontop of the initial claim.

Its all very daunting at first but it gets easier & more comprehendible...after my claim i intend to help several people i know....what a liberating experience...i hope!:)

    Good luck

    Hilary

  2. My statements simply stated "charges as notified" too!

After telephoning the halifax to ask if they were taking the p*** a very helpful customer service chap told me to just make a note of all the dates and the amount charged,as this was sufficient info for my claim!!!

I entered all dates & charge fee in the sreadsheet on this site & it calculated to the day interest i can request on top of initial claim amount.

I am now at the stage where i have been offered half of what i was claiming for-it all seems quite daunting at first but so far it has been easy.....persevere everyone!! Dont be afraid!!!

While i am here a question..........

As i said i have just been made an offer of half what i originally claimed for.....advice and information i have read says not to accept this as all the monies are legally mine! Can anyone advise me as to what to do nw.....do i have to commence a moneyclaim through the internet court yat or do i write to my bank once again requesting full refund prior to this??????

I could really do without having to pay court cost (even though it can be claimed back!)

    help-thankyou

    Hilary
