  1. only got as far as going through statements i've got with a calculator and a bit of paper. The wife is in the same boat - we are going to get it all ready onight whn little girl gone to bed - really appreciate your help will adapt the letter in library requesting the money. Is there a specific template I can use to put the charges on or do I just print out dates - charges on blank paper and say something along the lines of. This is what has been calculated on the statements you have already sent me, the rest are estimated as I am still awaiting them?
  2. Thanks Karnevl, are there any templates for this. Not too good with letter writing?
  3. Thanks karnevil but just wondering when I write to Abby to ask for the charges back. Do I tell them that most of the charges are estimated - unsure whether to use a letter from templates library and reword it? 14 months worth of statements totalling £1745. Think I will ask for 5K.
  4. Thanks for you advice Seminole - had a good read through but want to get this ready to send to Abbey on Tuesday. Think my best bet is to estimate the charges. Is there a specific template in the library for estimating charges. I have statements as far back as february 2005 and I am requesting charges of 6 years from Abbey. What do you suggest? Do I tell them it is an estimate of charges? If for example 1 year paid £1000 in charges do I just x by 6
  5. Yes - Was sent approx 14 months worth of statements (all in seperate envelopes with mailshots), they said that was all they were holding on their systems the rest are on microfiche. (approx £1200.) wife did the same.
  6. Decided not to wait out the 40 days and sent letter chasing up the microfiche records (found the letter template on here) Have received a reply today 22/7 stating I have been sent all the transactional data I am etitled to under the Data Protection Act and as the other is held on microfiche it is not covered by this act. The 40 days are up on the 24/7. What should I do now? Send estimate letter on 24/7 and report them to the Information Commissioner and the FSA. Please can somebody advise of next move as Abbeys 40 days are up on Tuesday. Thanks
  7. Going to wait out the 40 days as they have banked the £10 cheque I sent for the microfiche records - 40 days is up on 24/7 if i haven't heard anymore going to estimate the charges I think. Any advice would be great !!
  8. Sent preliminary letter on 15/6, received reply re: microfiche records not covered by Data Protection or 40 day ruling received 1 years worth of statements totalling to about £1,200 worth of charges waiting for other 5 years worth. Not sure if I wait and wait or send another letter when 40 days is up. Cannot calculate claim until I get rest of statements - wife also doing the same.
