Hi there, I havent read the whole thread here - but dont be too hard on that friend. The same thing has happened to me with no foul play on my part and when I look on-line there are a few others it has affected too. Paypal itself isn't a good source of info for these problems because it suits them not to be. BF has already handed over £15 to them for 'admin charges' when he got the money back that they were prepared to give him. There is scope for an independent forum so please let Barracad know about it - I'm sure he wont mind. Thanks for the other advice as well. The more I'm reading about Paypal, the more worried I'm getting, although some of it isn't a surprise to me. Its OK (albeit costly enough) when things go right but when things go wrong, they are really very, very bad.

Hello, Is there a section on the site about Ebay and Paypal Fraud please? I have had a look but can't see anuy info anywhere. In short, my bf was ripped off (in the purchase of a mobile phone) by an Ebay trader and the police say they will not investigate it. I would be prepared to take out small claims action against this man. BF did get some money back through Paypal but there is still over £100 that he is out of pocket.
