  3. Hi Ken, As a regular Tesco customer, I'm reaching out to you about parking facilities at your Tesco Superstore in Crasswell Street, Portsmouth, PO1 1RS. On Saturday 22 July 2023 four payment machines were out of use , the payment app wasn't working and the contact number on signage is only in operation Mon-Fri. As a consequence of this GroupNexus are demanding a payment of £100. I have spoken to your customer service team on 0800 505555 who were unable to take up the matter. Please could you intervene to have this charge withdrawn. Many thanks, LittleNoodle What do you think?

Not the slightest bit interested, said they only have an email address available for contractors working fined whilst working in the store (nothing for people just using the car park) and said they use Horizon for their stores. I was advised to use the appeals process. What should my next step be?
  6. OK I'll do that now, I skipped that part as I thought they were separate. In my local Tesco there is branding in the car park and at the pay machines.
  7. Yes it's next to Tesco but I believe it's entirely separate (not like most Tescos they have an associated car park, with a free 30 mins etc or free parking with min spend, but I don't know for certain as I never use that Tesco) Noted, fleecers it is!
  8. I absolutely don't want to pay this as I tried 4 ways to pay (machine 1, machine 2, app - a few times, and calling them). If they have cctv they can see me doing this and the others, esp the machine directly outside the entrance of Tesco with others not being able to get the machine to work, I have the record of the call to them on my phone before I left also etc. I'm even tempted to contact the local rag (who have reported on this car park before due to complaints, but under different companies) as other people around me that day genuinely wanted to pay, but couldn't! ETA: I know they wouldn't give a single care to look at cctv - if it's even working!
  9. Haha did I put scammer? I definitely used a scanner... Thank you for the info. I noticed the duration on the letter pushed me into another hour as when I went to pay the fee was for "up to 2 hours"
  10. Yes, that's correct. Well they said in the letter "As we have no record of payment for the parking on the date in question, or the duration exceeded for the period paid for..." So they aren't sure themselves it seems! 2 machines had huge signs saying they weren't working, the other machines weren't working, neither was the app to pay with. I called before giving up and leaving to see what I could do (payment over phone? lol) - but it was a Saturday, recorded message said they are only open Mon-Fri.
