Back in March I received a letter from police to give name and address of a driver who was speeding. It was 12 miles over speed limit. Out of panic, I stupidly gave a random name and address hoping it wouldn’t come back to me. It did and they are now asking to post details of the nominated driver as they have been unable to find him. my question now is rather than continue lying what are the likely consequences if i were to come clean now so I can prepare myself emotionally? Saying an error has accrued and I was the one driving that particular day Please be kind, I know I messed up big time and I feel really bad as it is thank you so much stressed mum
