  1. I had a current account with Barclays until 2005. I had a handful of bank charges made to me, probably no more than £250 but I can't be sure without sending a DPA letter. I have also been a Barclaycard customer since 1999 and had a few charges applied to that account too (about the same amount, I reckon). I would rather not send a DPA letter to Barclaycard just yet as I have a 0% rate with them and am hoping to tart another balance onto them next month on the same rate. Could sending a DPA letter to Barclays now sour my relationship with Barclaycard? Should I wait until the balance transfer is complete (or until the balance has been moved elsewhere even) before sending DPAs to both of them at the same time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hi, I'm Jason. I found this site through MoneySavingExpert. I haven't had very many bank charges in the last six years, in fact some of the stories on this forum make me realise just how lucky I have been. I will be contacting my bank to find out exactly how many charges I have received and then deciding whether to pursue the matter or not. Now that I've said my hellos I'll had over to the FAQs and start getting my head around all this.
