  1. Hi All, I received an email with a formal warning letter attached. It said that despite there being sufficient evidence available to initiate a prosecution against me ,they have considered the mitigating circumstances and have decided to give a formal warning and pay a fine. I have now paid the fine and sent the conditions of closure form back. The payment details were at the back pf the form. It was a straight forward call, gave ref number and payment details. They sent me confirmation for payment. I have also made a small donation. Just want to say thank you for all your help. It has been the most stressful time and I do not want to experience this ever again. Learnt lessons hard way.
  2. Dear CAG member, I replied back to the prosecutor yesterday and received the below response today. Thank you for your further email. I have presently decided to provide an alternative to the matter proceeding to Court. Please give this consideration. If you have any questions then please let me know. Not sure on how to interpret the email. Should I just wait for the alternate or should I ask a question. However, I have thanked him for not proceeding this matter to the court. Regards
  3. Looking at past statements. Not sure on how I paid. I do know that one of ticket was paid in cash. I have drafted a reply. Please can you advise and give your feed back. Thank you for your email. First of all I would sincerely like to apologise to you and TFL for my actions. I truly regret my actions. When interviewed on the day of the incident, I told the enforcement officer that I used the card for a couple of months. Thinking back, it may have been further back by another month or so. If you can access my TFL account history, you will see that I had purchased annual season ticket from 2018 to March 2022. After this date, I was topping my oyster with cash for my travel until Jan / Feb 2023. Since the incident date, I have purchased monthly travel card for the month of May- June and June - July. ( please see attached ) Until 28th July, I am going to use top up as I am on annual leave for 10 days. I have since re budgeted and put some money aside to buy an annual season ticket starting from 14th Aug. I would once again apologise. Whilst there is no excuse for my actions, poor judgement and diminished act responsibility caused by factors such as my current mental well-being/ menopausal issues and rising cost of living made me take decision that I would not do under normal circumstances. This incident has made me realise the consequences which will deter me from doing this ever again in future. I would request you to consider if you will allow me to pay your reasonable incurred cost in order to dispose of this without court action. A criminal conviction in this matter will have to be disclosed at my work as my work required an enhanced dbs as submitted in my previous email which could result me in losing my job which will add financial pressures already caused by rising cost of living. I am truly remorseful for my actions. Regards
  4. Thanks Dx100uk. it was very reassuring. please can you advise how I can provide evidence of historic annual season tickets from 2018 to 2022? would they be able to see on their systems? Regards
  5. Thanks BankFodder I did reply to the initial question when you asked me if my mother was aware and I said that she wasn’t. Since the incident I have informed her. I have made a mistake for which I truly repent. The only reason for my question today was To make sure I am doing the correct thing. The initial advise when the first information letter came was not to tell them any more than they know. just wanted to be sure if I should be doing that or coming out with the truth. I will be truthful and apologise for my actions. I have since had 3 monthly passes and I have just topped up my account as I am going to be on annual leave for 10 days and didn’t want to buy a monthly pass. But will buy another one when I go back to work. Yes Honeybee, I have been paying correct fares since the incident. I have evidence to support it.
  6. Sorry i dont understand your question Honeybee. I was topping my oyster card with cash prior to Jan this year.
  7. I started working in central London since 2018. I had a yearly travel card all the years until May last year. I started topping up my oyster card with cash since May last year.
  8. Oyster card payment history does not go further than 2 months. Just checked my account Honeybee, I would say since Jan this year.
  9. I did tell the enforcement officer that I was using the card for a couple of months. Thinking back it may be slightly more than a couple of months. There will be a daily weekday pattern of 1 journey. Should I say to them that it does go slightly further back than a couple of months as that is the truth.
  10. Hi, I have just received an email from the TFL. Please see below Thank you for your email dated the 10th May 2023. I am currently reviewing your case with a view to appropriate next steps and possible legal action. TfL is concerned at the level of offending. I appreciate that date you have been up front about the use of your mothers card. At the time of interview you had expressed a belief you had used the pass for ‘a couple of months’. Before I take further time to investigate please can you clarify if this is accurate or if it was slightly further back as is suspected. Your transparency may be of assistance. Please can you advise on how to respond to this. Also, should I get another begging letter to the prosecutor? Many Thanks
  11. Good morning CAG members, Have not received any response from TFL since the initial grovelling letter. Its been 1.5 months now. Should I send email asking for updates and further begging? or hold on tight? Many thanks
  12. Hi, I have been reading quite a few threads on this forum and there seems to be different information. Its been 2 weeks since I have sent a begging letter. Should I send another begging letter now or wait for their reply or send 1 in 2 weeks time when I renew my monthly travel card with proof of renewal. I have also been suffering from anxiety which has increased heart beat rate for which my doctor wants to do an ECG. Not sure if I can include this along with my begging letter. Please advise. Thank you
  13. Hi All, Is there a time frame for TFL to respond back to the initial letter? I email them 7 days ago. should I be sending another email if I do not hear from them in another week or so? I am really very stressed and anxious. thanks
  14. Thanks DX. I have read quite a few but hadn't come across this particular one. I will send all the evidence.
  15. Hi I should include the medical evidence as well as proof of travel card purchase with my email response, right.? thanks
  16. thank you Dx and honeybee. After submission of the letter, what should my next steps be. I have read on some of the threads that I will need to send another begging letter in a coupe of weeks time. Please guide me.
  17. Yes, there will be a clear weekly pattern. my mum used it very occasionally in the last 2 months. How far can they go back? or is it the last 2 months?
  18. Thank you Dx. Will amend the letter as per your recommendation. I could barely sleep last night fearing the worst. I have been feeling so down and anxious. Don’t know what to do to rectify this situation.
