I do wonder if snail mail is an issue but no way of finding out. I think I have no choice but to plead guilty with mitigating circumstances

That’s why I’m puzzled too! Straight to court no fixed penalty

I haven't driven since September. Car's been on my drive. I am pretty sure DVLA would have sent a letter to remind me that i need to SORN my vehicle.

Hi all. I am new here and need some advice please. My car insurance expired on 29/10/22. I fully intended to renew my insurance hence why I didn't SORN the car but I've had a back injury flare up for the past few months (started around late September time) which has severely impacted my ability drive. To top it up, I have been unwell for 3 weeks and off work for 2 weeks with bronchitis. Resumed work this week 09/01/23. I have received a letter today, 12/01/2023, for 'Single Justice Procedure Notice' pertaining to being a registered keeper of an uninsured vehicle. I have not received any letters prior to this. What are my options? I'm leaning towards: plead guilty and plead for mitigating circumstances and also point out that I didn't not receive an Insurance Advisory Letter? Any advice would be appreciated.
