hi Bluefire79, thanks for sharing your story with us, which is more or less the same as everyone else here on this forum...mine vauxhall antara picked up by him in March2022 and still have no idea where the car is.... i have got the letter from DVLA enforcement officer asking that Garage to confirm the car is with them during the time it was fined as it was not taxed being in garage for repair as it was supposed to be there. anyways, can you pls send their full address and the contact numbers as i have to give them to DVLA. i am not in UK at the moment and will be there next month only. hi saints60, the number that i used to talk to Lea, is out of service now. tried the other number, which he finally answered and said, the same old story that the car running into multiple issues and should be ready by next week. he has been promising this since last june that car will b ready by next week !!! i don't know really they are repairing it OR using it !!!! i don't have their address as the online website ,1st choice (from where i got to know about 169UK) does not show their full address, just Essex and phone number.. hi guys, i have received a letter from DVLA saying that i have to pay the fine of GBP 150/- as they have found out the vehicle either in use or parked in Wollaston Way , Basildon, Essex SS13 as i have declared the car as SORN as it was supposed to be in the garage for repair and was there since 03/03/2022. i have written to DVLA, but really don't know what to do to get the car back. will they help? pls share your expereince !!! regards,

well, it was collected by LEE. i have given him the address of the garage from where he arranged collection. so the collection guy did call me and he went straight away to the garage and collected the car. so, unfortunately, i don't have his number. anyone with success of claim filing? pls keep us posted. many thanks,

hi there, i have been reading lots of threads on this and my story is exactly replicated here. Mr lee of 169UK has collected my Vauxhall Antanra 6 months ago, saying is 2 weeks job to put reconditioned engine with 2 years warranty....so far nothing happened it seems as every time i call him, he says next week. but now his mobile number goes out of service and that's the only contact i have. don't know really where my car is ? no garage address?? he arranged collection so, i don't know really how to get it back? is there some one here can help me that? my worst fear seems to be true that they are scam. he was talking about the bill of around GBP 3000/- but didnt send any invoice, etc so i haven't pay anything yet.. however, i would like to get my car back asap with or without repair as it seems now. thanks for your assistance in advance !!!!
