  1. The communication I sent them via the contact us slip: 'I was parked in xxxxxxxxxx yesterday. I understand there is a time limit and I did not exceed it. Received a privacy notice and have no clue why.'
  2. It states it happened 'yesterday' when it was the day after. But no times is correct
  3. Yeah I have since learned this - If I knew that a few days ago I wouldn't have said a thing to them. These type of people need to get back in the sea!
  4. Yeah this has been a valuable learning curve. Like most people I assumed an adult conversation between 2 decent humans would sort it.
  5. It was the ‘contact us’ box. My name will be the only one to match up for sure. will that stand up in court?
  6. I have a somewhat unique name! I can guarantee I will be the only person with that name getting this. I have read of the case VCS vs Ibbotson which seems similar - Leaving the property. Once I receive the first angry red letter - Is it a good idea to write them explaining their lack of signings makes me not liable and showing them photos? or does this wait?
  7. Morning all, Manual enclosed. Also, I forgot I emailed the sods before I contacted you stating: 'I was parked in xxxxxxxxxx yesterday. I understand there is a time limit and I did not exceed it. Received a privacy notice and have no clue why.' I gane them my name and email/phone number but not the vehicle reg. I suspect that throws out the NTK/PCN issue. God sake! I guess my best defence is the fact they do not state you can walk away from the site and they are not the landowner. Should I seek confirmation (once the notice is served) from the landowner that VCS does not act on their behalf? How does the law allow them to do this to people?! VCS-GDPR-Data-Policy_Manual.pdf
  8. So it sounds like it would be thrown out if taken to court as they have not made it clear. How this legal!
  9. Makes sense. what are the chances of them taking it to court and, if they win, what would the fees be? In addition to the £100? if you have any clue?
  10. Sounds promising. the signs in the car park do mention the leaving aspect. Or does that not matter as it is not stated when you enter?
  11. Thanks Json. i expect a lot of threatening letters. My only worry is I don’t get a CCJ against me if they try to take me to court. I am going to follow advice from here as you guys seem to be used to this. do they eventually step down and say something along the lines of ‘as good faith this time we decided to drop the charge...’
  12. Here we go. Only one small wordy sign to be viewed as you turn into both car parks, nothing when you actually enter the car par itself. I have just thought (after reading other threads) - I just got a privacy notice, there was no PCN - should there not have been one? Or how long should it be before they send me that? Is that the 28-56 day element? As I thought it was issued to the driver first, then the registered keeper. I have a feeling they are going to try scam me and say they did if that is the case. Brooke Retail Park Signs.pdf
  13. Do I need to take some photos of the car park entrance etc? To prove the poor signage? As I can do this today
  14. Please note I also tried to call the Agency I think represent the landlord. There was no answer. Left a message asking for a call back as I was confused what I had done wrong (I thought a mature conversation between two adults may have sorted it) I shall not follow it up as I don’t want to screw myself over! questions below. 1 The date of infringement? 31/03/2021 2 Have you yet appealed to the parking company yet? [Y/N?] Still waiting to receive the notice. Only got a Privacy Notice. I asked them what it was about on the phone but did not give registration information etc. if you have then please post up whatever you sent and how you sent it and the date you sent it, suitably redacted. [as a PDF- follow the upload guide] has there been a response? N/A please AS A PDFFILE ONLY ..post it up as well, suitably redacted. - follow the upload guide] If you haven't appealed yet - ,.........DONT ! seek advice on your topic first. have you received a Notice To Keeper? (NTK) [must be received by you between 29-56 days] Waiting for it what date is on it N/A Did the NTK provide photographic evidence? N/A [scan up BOTHSIDES to ONE PDF of the PCN and your NTK - follow the upload guide] 3 Did the NTK mention Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (PoFA) [Y/N?] N/A 4 If you appealed after receiving the NTK, did the parking company give you any information regarding the further appeals process? [it is well known that parking companies will reject any appeal whatever the circumstances] N/A 5 Who is the parking company? Vehicle control services 6. where exactly [Carpark name and town] did you park? Brooke Retail Park, Ruislip, HA4 0LN
