Thank You, will be posting today.
Do I have to send back their form to them saying "I Dispute the Claim" along with the letter?
Also the form asks for my telephone number and email address
- I dont want to give them those details do I have too?
They have my name and postal address so want to leave it at that.
-
I just want to check a point.
I dont believe there is a GCSE Law Course and hasnt been since 2018.
There is A Level law courses still existing.
Only knew this as my daughter is just doing her A Levels exams this week and there was never a law option for GCSE.
Should it be changed to A Level or just "basic" law course? Also why the names Rachael & Sean, - am I missing something here, as those names are not on the letter.

I have received the following letter from BW Legal today. Also includes form if I admit the debt and wanting my income details. Do I reply to this LETTER OF CLAIM please? Looks like they are ready for court now?? Thank You

The doctors are totally uncooperative with anything to do with parking tickets and didnt even pass my letter to the Landlord when I left it addressed to him at their property.
They hired the parking company so are totally on their side all the time.

There was a different big sign when I first went there and when I went a few weeks later it had gone and new smaller signs were up. It is quite a mess with the signs. The dwarf signs now have a message no disabled parking yet the disabled parking space remain there. Very confusing
-
My daughter was not driving. She was mentioned as she didnt even see the dwarf signs on the entrance way. Their original letter sent a camera shot of the car going into the car park and then coming out (think 10 mins approx).
I have heard of BW Legal before and yes there are a terrible company who hire solicitors nobody else will. I ignored all Trace letters so assume they will stop now BW is taking over.Thank you

I have ignored all the Trace letter and this morning have had this letter from BW Legal.
Is it a new company or part of Trace?
Anything to take action on?
Thank YOu -
I have just received a letter from Trace Debt Recovery saying "as you have missed payment/response your case is now being prepared to be sent to our Escalations Department"
Is this their court process? -
@Lolerz
In the main post on buying private it says this is preferred to a dealer as its much cheaper.
No I dont run a business so have no card processing facilities at home. -
I am sure I told Countrywide when I appealed their ticket that they have no right to pass my email address to anyone.
Would that have any legal standing? should have a screen shot of it somewhere as proof. -
if I block their emails and they go to court I wont get a copy of the court summons as they go to the same email - would that be correct?
I dont want them getting a default as I didnt receive the summons.
Would the court send that out separately?
Just want to be safe before I do anything.
Thank You- 1

I need a new car and wanted to buy private (if I can find anything) but the other post suggests paying by credit card.
I wont find a private seller who will take a credit card.
I will get an independent inspection/MOT done to be on the safe side.
How else should I consider paying to get some sort of protection?
Total dread this as hate cars but unfortunately need one and havent purchased one for 12 years.
Dont want to screw up completely so looking advise first, budget £5000.- 1

I have just received this email for the debt collectors.
I havent had any contact from them before regardless to what they say.

Thank You

I have had a letter from Countrywide today dated 23 Dec, saying
We are writing to inform you that despite numerous correspondence (Really one letter) your Parking Charge Notice remains unpaid and therefore an additional £40 debt collectors fee has now been added. This is your final notice to make payment for the outstanding amount with 7 days of the date of this final notice. After this date the Parking Charge will be escalated to our debt recovery agents and the outstanding amount will increase to £170.
Obviously I am not going to pay but it is legal they can charge what they like by the week? No one else seems to be able too.
I know in the past mortgage companies were banned from charging £40 a letter does the same not apply here?
Thank You -
The car is very driveable I am driving it every day, mechanically it is sound.
As I am disabled I am not in a condition to get the car repaired myself so cant go down that route, I am alone and have no help.
When the woman was going to pay herself I took the car to a local garage for a quote and then said £500 for both doors so its realistic.
Now I have to go thru the insurance I can claim a courtesy car while mine is being repaired so that would cost more.
I am really quite surprised that the insurance want to pay out more than I was quoted but it is their preferred garage that has sent the quote into them and I dont know how much they have quoted.
I am still in shock over what to do as £2000 will go nowhere towards buying a new car and the same one i can find for sale now is £3,500 although not so many around any more.
As I am disabled and struggle with walking and have no one to drive me around I need to hang onto my car until a new car is sorted. -
I have an old car as finances are tight (Mercedes A160 2009),
I had it since 2011 so its lasted a long time and being very reliable for me only broke down once.
Had the ususal knocks and scrapes for an old car but no accidents,, no claims and mainly never broke down.
A few weeks ago I parked in the local shopping centre and a woman drove in the car park at high speed and scraped all along the side of my car with her red paint.First she wanted to settle herself the claim but wanted me to take £15 a month to pay for the damage in the end.
A local garage quoted £250 repair each door so £500 and a bit on the front bumper. Then she cant pay and I have to go through my insurance - Tesco.
As its a no fault claim there is no excess for me to pay - I was in the shops luckily my daughter was in the car and called me.
The local garage sent a quote to Tesco and today Tesco sent me an email saying the car is a write off and they are paying me £2,000.
I have to send the log book to them and they will send someone out to collect.
My issue is I cant survive without a car as I am disabled.
My daughter has to be dropped to college 4 times as week as there is no public transport.
The car was insured for £3500 which I know they never pay full amount.
I am so confused now as it will be so difficult to find a new car to buy with such little money.
I dont know how to cope with this and how to find a new car.
Can anyone advise my options please and what I must do?How long do I have to contact the insurance company?
Thank You -
Hi Guys,
I havent received anything from anyone.
I decided to try and login and see if the ticket could still be paid and the amount has now changed to £140!!!I have no idea how its got that high and why I have received No correspondence from either the medical centre or Countrywide.
Charge Amount: £140.00 Date Issued: 17/11/2023 09:15:56
Site: The Village Medical Centre
Reason for Issue: Failure to Register Vehicle
-
Still not received no reply from anyone.
After reading all the issues and victims no I dont want to pay Countrywide although it will be a load of stress I would rather fight it.
Do I have to do anything by Friday or just sit tight and wait please?
Thank you- 1

So far nothing at all, it all being quiet.

I have finally finished reading the thread quoted above - to be honest I am totally shocked at their behaviour.
Even as a disabled person I think I could present a case better than these.
Also I know I said yesterday I thought I had taken a photo of the sign but then thought I had not and then today I actually did have that photo - this is typical of someone with my medical conditions, I may not know what I do 5 minutes later so everything will need to be dotted and crossed and dated if there is a chance of going to court.
After reading the above thread I feel more that I have a case to fight. The signage is just crazy, cant see what is on passenger side as at ground level, cant read what is on other side as opposite side of the drive in and likely to be hidden by any cars driving out.
One sign says no disabled parking and other sign says allowed. Plus the no grace period is unlawful and printed on the signage.
I am one of those people who like to know that things mean and didn't learn what "grace period" was until I joined her.
I would have googled it on the spot (at least my daughter would have) till we found out what it meant.

My issue I wont be able to prove when the signage went up.
Certainly if my daughter (who was in the car with me on the first visit) seen a sign saying NO BLUE BADGES we would have left immediately.
I only got these photos yesterday as I parked elsewhere and went to walk to the entrance to take the photos.
Shocked to see how near the entrance they are and how low down they are. Surely that is not lawful, its a trap set to catch everyone out.
To be honest my health is not good and I dont think I can face any court hearing. Travel is difficult and god knows what the costs will be to get anywhere. How many people win these ticket arguments in court? I am not any good at speaking in public.
I am going back next door next week so can take more photos if needed (and maybe a tape measure to check how high the signs are)
I agree the text is very conflicting from sign to sign and the board that was on the back has disappeared as well.
That was the one I got out of my car to read which said nothing of blue badges. -
I have enlarged the photo on my phone as it says as follows:
NO PARKING OR STOPPING AT ANY TIME (This is a new sign and placed on the ground of the passenger side)
No exceptions or grace period. Blue Badge Holders are not exempt.
By entering or remaining on this land you agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions. Breach of any term or condition will result in the driver being liable for a parking charge.Parking Charges are to be paid within 28 days. Then a Personal Data paragraph
Does that help??
This sign is about 3 inches off the ground on the passenger side at the entrance where it is impossible for a driver to see or stop to read as other cars will be right behind to get into the car park. The other sign on the drivers side where cars exit the car part is impossible to read from across the path and again just above ground level.

Why these signs are not placed at car window height instead of on the ground is really amazing.
