I have '[email protected]' chasing me for a credit debt with CBQ in Doha, Qatar for some £3500, that I do not think can be valid. I left in a hurry after an emergency admission to hospital (cycle accident), remedial care and off to then fix things in the UK. This was 1 week before the end of my teaching contract in late June 2018. they accepted the circumstances. I now have this outfit chasing me, having previously ignored them as bogus, i.e. seeking me to pay or schedule payments. Although to date I have ignored them their 'planned' charges and 'proposed' actions are now escalating. A friend told me to seek advice here. I left emails for CBQ, used the app to cancel cards (had to claim they were stolen to get that to work) and also contacted Ooredoo and my car hire company to cancel payments. Are these guys kosher? Any advice much appreciated.
