Hi I have sent the first letter to Lloyds to reclaim £450 in charges. I have received a reply saying that the OFT is dealing with "default charges". It further states that these dont apply to me as the charges involved were for "dealing with your request to go over your agreed overdraft limit" and therefore are not "default charges". However the charges are labelled "Overdraft Excess Fee" and "Unpaid Direct Debit". These seem to be penalties to me. Does anyone have any opinions/information on this? Is it just Lloyds trying it on? I'm planning to go to the Small Claims Court about this. Thanks Dave

Leon I'll be watching as I am just starting to reckon up the amount Lloyds have charged my kids with a view to challenging them.

Hi everyone, first post from me. My son has been travelling abroad recently using his debit card. Lloyds Bank have charged him £1 for every time he drew money from a cashpoint and £2 for every purchase. Are these charges able to be challenged? Thanks
