  1. Hi there CONGRATULATIONS!!! Can I just ask, did you do all your stuff from England?
  2. Thanks very much for the advice people, lets get them!!
  3. Dear All Hope everyone is getting on well and letting friends and family know the goood news. The time scale set out in my LBA expires in two days time and I now need to get organised with regard to making a claim through the courts. I want to be exactly sure what I'm doing, I think a mistake now could blow it all!! I am claiming £2388, live in Edinburgh and would really appreciate a step by step idiots guide as to my next move. I believe we in Scotland have to go through the Sheriff Court and I also think there is a limit here too in terms of what you can claim. Any help would be greatly received. Thanks in anticipation and good luck to one and all :-|
  4. Thnaks for that folks, rock on, rock on!!!!!
  5. Dear All Hope everything is going according to plan. I have a question. I have recently received all my statements from the bank for the past six years and have listed all the charges on a spreadsheet by date, type and amount. I am ready send away my letter asking for reimbursement, however, before I do this I need the following clarified. Do I send the list of charges with the whole amount i.e. what was actually applied to my account and ask for that back or do i work out what the charges would be if the £12 limit is applied? I'm not sure about this and would appreciate any advice. Thanks GOOD LUCK TO ONE AND ALL
  6. Go to the part of the website with the letter pro formas and start by sending the letter which asks the bank to provide you with a list of all charges applied to your account over the last six years. After that, sit back and wait. They will reply, I don't think they can afford not to. Once you have received your bank statements, go through them all and write down every charge applied to your account with the date, type of charge and the amount. List them in date order, set it up so you have a date column, a column titled Charges levied minus column legal limit (£12) and column balance due to customer. Then send this away with the next step letter and so on and so forth. All the best mate.
  7. Dear All I guess many of you are in the same position as me, that is, you are entirely frustrated and angry at how your respective banks have treated you with regard to bank charging. I have suffered many years of exorbitant bank charging and have always felt helplessly at their mercy. I have only recently found out about the ilegal way in which the banks have been conducting their business and I can honestly say I was totally shocked at how flippant and blase they have been about it and for so long. I welcome this opportunity to be able to challenge them on this and get my money back, in truth the money aspect is an absolute bonus, an unofficial savings account if you will!! The real plus is being able to stick two fingers up at the bully and fight back. I would just like to say thank you to all who have been involved with this site and hope you keep up the good work, I intend to make a donation, albeit, when I get my money back!! I do have a couple of questions though Am I justified in asking for account maintenance charges to be refunded How do I work out any interest figures on my charges The Bank of Scotland have recently supplied me with a list of all my charges and I work out from this that they are due me roughly £1,300. I am about to send of my letter with the list of charges but would appreciate any help on the questions raised, I will keep you all posted on my progress. GOOD LUCK TO ONE AND ALL!!!
