  1. Sent Data Access Request by registered mail to CB head office today. Looking forward to a large envelope containing years' worth of statements
  2. You might be right. I just find it a bit strange that the manual intervention is mentioned in the initial template letter at all. It seems to open an avenue of possible defence for banks somehow. I'll take your advice, although I'd be interested to hear your and other people's take on this new stance by YB/CB. Thanks
  3. Hi all. First post;) Am about to embark on my own claim, and have been reading about the YB/Clydesdale latest stance on manual intervention, where they state: "with regard to your request for information relating to manual intervention on your account, there is no specific mention of manual intervention within the Data Protection Act and as such we are under no statutory obligation to record or provide this information." Two questions: 1) Is it really necessary to request the manual intervention information - manual or not, the charges are disproportionate? 2) I'd been thinking about adding something along the following lines to the paragraph on manual intervention in my Data Protection Act letter: "I will take any refusal to provide specifics of manual intervention not only as a breach of the Data Protection Act, which I’d have to pursue with the Information Commissioner, but also as acknowledgement that any specified charges levied against my account are in fact automated bank charges which, if disporportionate, I’m advised are a breach of the 1977 Unfair Terms (contracts) Act and of the 1999 Consumer Credit Act." Any thoughts on this latest development?
