  1. Thanks. I had threatened, but not started legal action. I will check out your thread. Thanks Glad
  2. £1955 as a gesture of good will! This from a claim of over £7000 Abbey's letter makes no claim of this being full and final, just a gesture of good will. How do I reject/accept this? I have looked through the templates and am thinking Letter 4? Is that correct. Thanks folks!
  3. Hi All Well - they took their time in getting my statements to me - but I finally caculated it all... and I am claiming £7.5k:o I sent it off, and the 14 days are up on Tuesday. So far, they have sent me one letter, the standard sorry you are unhappy and we will get back to you in 40days. I am now prepping my next letter which goes off on Tuesday. I am very worried. I am not an analytical person - by any means - and am so afraid I am going to cock this up. Reading through the threads, people are also talking about compensation - how do I calculate that, and want am I wanting compensation for?:? Is it for stress? For having credit defaults against me because they were taking so much out of my account in charges I wasn't able to pay other bills?
  4. Thanks guys! I am confused though. My head is battered! Do I send another letter to the Abby, and one to the Information people? I know this site is idiot proof - but it's not 'me' proof! Thanks again. Your posts lifted my spirits today!
  5. I am my wits end now. I sent off letter 1 in July, asking for all my statements. The Abby replied, advising the microfiche argument. They sent 12 months worth of statements. Advised they would use the 10pounds for the microfiche search Since then nada! Zilch! I sent letter 2 accepting the microfiche and reminding them of the 40days Again nada Zilch I kept meaning to chase and chase, but time goes. Anyway - I wrote to them about 3 weeks ago, saying they had 7 days to provide me with the required archived statements. They replied with a standard - sorry if you are not happy blurb. Basically, I still haven't received my archived bank statements. Can someone please hold my hand and help me get them back? I am at my wits end at the moment. Thanks Paddle-Less
  6. Dercross... which letter have you actually written to them? Just so I can copy! I have one ready to send, but if I can check it against yours?
  7. I had the same letter Lula. This was in June - they still haven't processed the microfiche accounts for me though. I allowed them to take the £10.000 - and will add that to my claim
