  1. Just to update this section, I did approach Lowell myself with a recorded letter, which included a copy of the death certificate, however Phillips & Cohen were acting on behalf of Lowell, I sent another copy to them Phillips & Cohen I received a letter from Phillips & Cohen stating that they were happy not to act on behalf of Lowell and that they had opened a case "Complaint" against Lowell direct. I had previously spoken to Lowell at a time my Mother was seriously ill in hospital Lowell tried to trick me, however I did record the voice calls and had the previous letters from Lowell. Earlier this year in May I had found out that my late mother was in a Debt management plan through CAB, I contacted CAB and they were not impressed by the letters regarding Lowell. Since contacting CAB through the Solicitor dealing with my late Mothers will, I have not heard anymore from them has I instructed the Solicitor to engage in warfare against Lowell at my expense should it be required, I also had the 3 letters that Lowell claimed they never sent and that I never had, also the recorded conversations. I have been informed that CAB has contacted all of my late mothers creditors of which I have not heard anymore about. Lowell have not since been in touch via letter to me and the last time I contacted Phillips & Cohen they no longer acting on behalf of Lowell. Case closed. Thanks for the replies and at the time I was not firing on all cylinders to say the least, however time has moved on, thanks all
  2. Hi, I have read many threads on here regarding Lowell, but unable to find suitable info regarding Phillips & Cohen which Lowell are their client in this instance. Back in Nov 2013 my late mother was ill in hospital, I received a letter from Lowell with mine & my mothers address on it but a name that I didn't recognise, I phoned Lowell in regards to the letter and questioned them on the name, they said it was a mistake due to doing some trace for someone but never said who. 2 weeks after this letter my Mother passed away in hospital, the following week after my mother passed away, I received another letter from Lowell but this time, it had my mothers name on it, but they were claiming that my mother lived in Surry, London, when in fact my mother have never lived in or anywhere in England let alone London. I phoned Lowell yet again, and this time they were very arrogant and very disrespectful towards me, I challenged the rep in the call centre has she laughed down the phone and denied that I had phoned them in regards to some fictitious name and address, she asked do I have the letter, I said yes but not to hand, she claimed I never received such a letter, but I have it. After engaging in a argument with her she kept on saying it was an error because they were doing a trace. I sent a recorded letter to Lowell, that week if I was to receive another letter in a unknown name a nd or address being sent to my address, I would take legal action, and they would then incur all financial procurement and I would also contact the police in regards to names and address being used in respect of my late mother. I have now received a letter challenging my late mothers estate to pay the outstanding debt to Lowell, but this is from Phillips & Cohen and Lowell are now their client. I do know about 5 years ago my mother went to Citizen Advice about her debts, and has far as I am aware she never heard from any of them except Lowell, but this was done through CAB. There is a Solicitor dealing with the will, but can they chase me 'I'm the next of kin who is to inherit her possessions', for her debt from many a year ago, these are the only ones writing to her, I found my mothers debts that she had to take down to CAB, my mother only lived on her widow pension and her disability allowance. I did ask who the client was to Lowell and they refused. Do I pass this letter on to the Solicitor and the other two letters from Lowell in regards to debt, my mother estate is only what she had such has furniture ect, but had no life savings. I've never heard of Lowell let alone Phillips & Cohen and never discussed with my mother about her debts. I have had experience with Bailiffs in regards to unpaid court fine, Swift Credit Services, and I took them to Civil Court, I didn't get my case to be heard in court due to a lack of grounds, but ended up arguing with the judge that was worth £160 any day, but the judge did say come back with a solicitor and have a more detailed case and he will hear my case again, the fees for Swift Credit services were also dropped, this court hearing was also 3 weeks after my mothers death. So between my mother passing, Lowell Group, Civil court, funeral, inquest and now Phillips & Cohen asking for Lowells owed money I've had a enough, I apologize for the long post, but any info in regards to Phillips & Cohen would be greatly received Regards
