Council asking for bank statements Hi Just need some general advise I am a landlord who rented out a property. The tenants left without paying council tax and therefore I became liable for the debt. However I have sent them copies of tenancy agreements which indicate that the tenant was liable for the debt. They have now emailed me back stating that they require proof that the tenants actually lived there i.e. bank statements, forwarding address and any other info. My question is am I legally bound to provide this information? Regards
