Hi Olivers mummy, I opened an account in Barclays in Jan this year, I think from the frying pan into the fire. They took 1 month to send me a debit card, and even now, I cant use it as a cheque card! The on line banking system has gone down on me. I told them I wish I had never opened the account, they were no better than a&l. WHO DO YOU BANK WITH? Dont fold, I am with you, what help you need try yaesu, he's a lot of help!

Thanx sea side lady, I must have been in the right direction I hope? Now the LBA is already at A&L, I take it I should wait the 14 days then file court action. I see by other threads that even then, banks are refusing to pay! What then? can anyone help
-
still new to the site, how to post own threads in A&L forum, or have I already done it?
-
Hi Olivers mummy, i am nobody but I have just sent my LBA. A&L have just refused to pay £1300 and £310. If I did not have the money in the first place, why should the banks think they are are my financial advisor and take it anyway! I am going to wait the 14 days and then hit them with the court action. They may be bigger than me, but why should they take what is rigghtfully not theirs. I will fight with you. Go for it. What have you got to lose!!!! Good luck

Although a&l say they refuse to pay, I have seen in threads that after court action is proceeded, they usually pay up, do you think this because usually by this time, people give up, and dont do any more. The court action obviously means you are serious. How do I know I will get my money back? I am claiming £1300 on one acc and £310 on another with a default. How do I found out whether the default has been taken off?

To all the helpers on this site, without you guys, the fight with the banks would be even harder on our own. I find the site a little confusing sometimes, but always seem to work my way through, and even managed to post my own thread today!! Thanks again

thanks for helping. They are obviously not a listening bank. Hope not to trouble you too soon

Hi guys. I received letter from the bank telling me they were not paying up. Read the terms and conditions leaflet which they sent me! I sent the letter before action letter last week and this was my reply. Where do I go from here? do I now apply to the court or is there another letter that tells them to pay up. How come other people have received payments without the banks putting up any fight? thanks

I have also just received a refusal from A & L, telling me to read the terms and conditions leaflet, I dont know where to go from here either
