  1. I would value feedback from any disatisfied customer of Scottish Power Homecomforts with regard to challenging the incompetence and poor service delivered by them through the courts. I have had numerous unsatisfactory experiences of their hopeless central heating cover. On two of these occasions they've left me without heating and hot water for 3 to 4 weeks. The latest has resulted in me paying out almost £2500 to have my boiler replaced, which they were contracted to repair and maintain. They have to be the most ignorant and infuriating company to deal with, their incompetence and unreliability have driven me to the edge of reason. Numerous times over the past few weeks I have waited a good half an hour in a queuing system, only to end up speaking to someone who has no idea whats going on with my case. Then placed on hold for 20 or so minutes whist they attempt to find out, only to come back on the line with no new information but promise the return my call later that day. Guess what not once have they even had the decency to call me back without me chasing them. Never mind make any attempt to fix my boiler. Obviously after close to a month without heating and hot water we became so uncomfortable in our own home we decided to take matters into our own hands and replace the damned thing. Unbelievably they ring us up the day before the new boiler is to be fitted saying we're now willing to order the part identified by their subcontractor (who I have no faith in due to experience of them turning up and just replacing random parts until they luck out on the right one. They changed the same part 3 times in litte over a year and never once tried to find out what was causing it to fail). I feel they've not even lived up to their own terms and conditions of the policy and should have to compensate us for the repair they should have made but dragged their feet so long over we took our own action, their shoddy treatment of us leaving us without heating and hot water for so long whilst they basically ignored us and the cost of spending several hours on the telephone chasing them to try and get them to provide the service they were contracted to provide. All ideas and suggestions of how to gain some recompence through any channel that is not likely to drive us insane (which is what trying to deal with them was doing to us) would be gratefully received.
