Hi Likewise I took out a life insurance plan through 1 star and on the same day I tried to go back to the site to check something out but the link had disappeared and I could not remember the name to google them. I then got slightly worried that I may have been duped so I emailed someone called terri whom had sent me a welcome email. I told them that I was cancelling from the date and time of the email. I did not get a reply so I thought no more about it.. ..until I got a email 4 weeks later threatening to send a doorstep collection agency and/or court proceedings for the whole amount of £592.00 and would commence the day after this email. I telephoned the number given and spoke to a man who opened the conversation by saying `your payment options are......` to which I said I am not paying anything as I had cancelled on the same day by email. ..he told me they had not received such an email and I am liable for the whole amount and that court proceedings will commence should I not comply. .i replied by telling him then you'll have to take me to court !.. HE put the phone down on ME ! one star ring my mobile and landline several times a day every day. yesterday someone else answered my phone One star told them everything regarding this issue and what they intend to do !!!! my friend asked about confidentiality to which the woman stated that it does not apply as they just want to get the message through to me !!!! I have not yet taken legal advice but am curious if apart from the msg from MCFC36 if others have had such experiences and if so ? what was the outcome ? ONE STAR ACT LIKE THUGS !!! IRRESPECTIVE
