  1. Hi All, Got a reply today from CitiFinancial stating that they are unable to find any information on my account. I managed to find old letters from them in 2003 confirming I had paid all money owed as I was requesting them to clear my credit record, and I also found all the payments records with account numbers etc. I guess what I really need to do now is send a claim letter. Where do I find a template letter for a claim? May I find a copy on this site? Any help appreciated to now take further many thanks
  2. Thanks dx, that's what I thought and I have just send them a SAR I will update as soon as I hear anything
  3. Copy of reply & Insurance document as requested sorry about the copy hope this is better
  4. I apologise do not understand what you mean by upload? do you mean the letter I got ?
  5. Hi All, Got my information back yesterday. It is a accident policy for £2500 until my 65th birthday and the total premium paid as a single amount was £78 at the time I expect I took out the loan. The real deal is I expect I paid a massive amount of interest on this throughout the period of the loan. They have included the information of City Group who bought out The Associates who the original loan was with. I now intend on sending the SAR to them to get further information on the loan etc. I will update when I get a reply from them, probably some time in the New Year. Thanks to dx100uk for you comments and good luck to amck12 hope you got a reply. Lets hope for a happy, healthy and wealthy New Year Best wishes for 2014
  6. Update: I got my letter & cheque returned today stating the company had moved and no further information. I telephoned the phone number again on the original letter stating I was not happy regarding the information they are registered under at the Information Commissioners Office for Data. The lady apologised and stated she will send on all information with 10 days to me with no fee. Guess I will just have to see, but in the meantime I will send another recorded letter and cheque to the now correct address: METLIFE Europe Services Ltd Level 50 One Canada Square Canary Wharf London E14 5AA Some time wasted but I expect to get a full response now I will update as soon as I get anything back.
  7. Thank you dx100uk I will also just send the SAR tomorrow Good luck amck12 Thanks for all the help and advice DX
  8. I will do the same and post all letters to the registered data address at 1 Minister Court EC3R 7YL to get the system up and running. I will post feedback ASAP good luck
  9. Thank you Honeybee an all. I have found the registered address to send the SAR to as follows and registered with the Information Commissioners Office METLIFE INSURANCE LIMITED 8TH FLOOR 1 MINSTER COURT MINCING LANE LONDON EC3R 7YL AMCK12 is this the address you will send the PPI template letter to ? Just wondered if I should also send the PPI template to this address now or wait for info to come back on the SAR?
  10. Thank you dx100uk, I guess I will have to prepare to be in for the long haul if this is a valid claim? Not sure as it may be too long ago and will it be out of date to claim? I have not had any loans since that unfortunate (silly and stupid) time, I have only had a repayment mortgage with no add-on's so have no experience of the claim process involved thanks
  11. I too got a letter last week and exactly the same info, I took out a car loan in mid 80's with Associates in Watford at very high interest rates (young and stupid) It took me years to pay off but never had any idea until last week about an insurance policy. I did telephone MetLife but they would not say how much the policy cost only that I was covered by the policy until I am 65 years. I have requested how much cover the policy is for? I guess all this information is having to be disclosed now due to the PPI scandal. What I would really like to know is this worth getting a professional PPI claim company to deal with this as it has been a long time since I had the loan and do not have the resources to search Any advice very welcome I will update as soon as I get any feedback from MetLife
