The CCJ does but the POPLA letter does not mention Devere in any way. I have spoken to POPLA this morning and they have advised me to seek legal advice as Devere have failed to provide a response. They said this is a common practice and they receive hundreds of calls about this as we are now unable to proceed through POPLA I spoke to a Steven Williams

My partner received a ticket from Devere for parking in a visitor bay on private land a couple of months ago. She did not have a valid visitors permit displayed and was not aware that there were any parking restrictions in place as it is way out of the city centre in a gated development. There is one sign by the main gates but is not clearly readable when you pull up and is on the left of the gates. The entry buzzer is on the right so you wouldn't have reason to walk closer to it. Just inside the gates there is one sign saying 'visitors parking - visitors badge must be displayed' but this is at a level that if a car parks in front of it you cannot see it. There are no other signs in that area saying that there are parking restrictions so she was not aware of the need for a badge as the other sign was obstructed by a car. She sent a letter first and they replied by recorded post. She then sent an appeal and did say she was the driver. This was over a month ago and has just called to find out what is going on. They say they replied the same day but nothing has been received. I said that seemed strange as they sent the first letter by recorded post so why not with the others. At this point he hung up on me because i apparently said they were lying about sending a reply. I called back and he said he hung up because i was saying they were lying. i said it just sounded fishy that the letter has not arrived and they had decided not to send this one by recorded post. He then said he was hanging up because saying it sounded 'fishy' meant i was calling them liars again. Not sure where to go from here as he said they wouldn't send the letter again even though i asked him to. Don't really want my partner to get taken to court etc as they threatened in the first letter. (even sent copies of other CCJ's and failed POPLA appeals to try and intimidate us)
