Hello Im looking for advice regarding the purchase of a new car.on the 8th of July I placed an order for a new car at a dealership.the order was placed becasue an offer was on at the time. the offer entitled me to a £2000 deposit allowance on the vehicle if I took the manufacturers finance scheme, which I did.I also added metallic paint to the car and a set of optional alloy wheels both at extra cost.I was told the car would be built in august and i would take delivery in late spetember.all was fine untill last week 3rd sept the dealer called me to say the manufacturer has changed the specification of the car now.The car now includes sat nav and a rear reversing camera as standard this was a £750 option at the time of ordering which i did not want.the base price of the car would normally go up by £250 which the dealer says will not happen in my case.however, the dealer says the £2000 deposit allowance will now be reduced to £1250, effectivly charging me the £750 for the sat nav and camera , but leaving me no choice in the matter.the dealer is still arguing with the regional offices to have the £2000 deposit allowance honoured but I would liek to know where my rights are with this, can the manufacturers get away with this or are they bound by law to honour the contract? i havent signed any documents as of yet but the dealer did take all my details.Cheers, Leigh
