  1. Hi again, today we received a 'final notice' letter from Westcot, obviously spurred on by the letter we sent them, any advice would be great!
  2. It wasn't the template letter from here but was basically a scaled down version, is it worth sending them the template letter too, just to be on the safe side do you think? Thanks for responding so quickly!
  3. Hi everyone I wonder if someone can help us, my other half received a letter from Westcot credit services around two weeks ago, on behalf of the RBS group alleging he owes just under £60. He has no knowledge of the debt and has had no correspondence from RBS - or anyone else - regarding this debt prior to this letter. We have a bank account (which is not in arrears) with NatWest, and he had a credit card with them a couple of years back which has been paid off in full & destroyed so we have no idea where this has originated from. A google of westcot soon threw up the fact that they're not exactly reputable, we wrote to them asking for confirmation of the alleged debt in writing within ten days. Today, he has received a letter from them asking him to confirm his DOB & last address including the date the property was vacated. Obviously, we're not going to provide these to Westcot, but just wondered how we should play it next, does anyone have any advice? Sorry if this is duplicating threads as I know other users have had similar letters but all seem to be in slightly different circumstances to us (I.e. they acknowledge where the debt has come from) Thanks!
