  1. I also was told that I could start the course (Bookkeeping) any time I wanted to. I enrolled at the end of 2006, but with ill-health, unexpected work committments etc I couldn't start the course, but I kept on paying £75/month until 2010 when all the fees were paid. When I had retired and was in better health I contacted Skillstrain, with a view to starting the course, only to find out that they had de-registered themselves with the IAB in June 2011and no new students were being accepted! They are refusing to return the money as are Barclay Finance. My interpretation of the 3 year rule was that it only started from the time that a student actually started the course, how can there be a time limit to finish something that has not been started? I never had any correspondence from them about impending time limits or discontinuing my course. Regards Sparkie7.
